Today marks the 27th anniversary of the day that 96 people went to a football match and never came home. It is a day that I will never forget. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the 96.

Watched a replay of the (last) commemorative ceremony at Anfield on LFCTV. It was remarkably effective and appropriate. It concluded with a slow role of the pictures of the 96. A poignant reminder of how close we came to being there. If our three season tickets had yielded more than one ticket to the match, we would have been among the crush, with who knows what consequences.

Without being over-dramatic, it certainly does make you think. The real tragedy is the 96 were only doing what we all love to do on a regular basis; simply going to a football match.
